Tickets are not scanning
Ensure the scanner is signed in to the right event. Staff assigned to several events sometimes have the wrong one selected. If a code is broken or the guest's screen is too dim, search their name and check them in manually.
Guest says they didn't get the ticket
Search their name or email in your attendee list and resend in one click. If the address is wrong, correct it and resend. Nothing needs regenerating.
Venue's WiFi is unreliable
Nothing is set to recur or cancel. Buy Scanning continues offline. Validation runs against the cached on each device, and everything syncs when the connection returns. You don't need to do anything.

Frequently asked questions
Who answers when I get in touch?
The people who have built EventHelm. There's no support tier, no outsourced first line, and nobody who needs to check with someone else before answering you. It also means we hear your problem directly, which is usually why fixes arrive faster than you'd expect.
What if something goes wrong during my event?
Get in touch on whichever channel suits you. Chat, email, or WhatsApp, all reach us, and event day messages come first, any day of the week (including weekends). Before you do, three things fix most situations: check the scanner is one the right event, resend a missing ticket from the attendee list, and remember, scanning keeps working offline if the venue's wifi drops.
Is support included, or is it a paid add-on?
Every account gets the same support, regardless of how many credits you've bought.
Can you help setup my first event?
If you'd rather be walked-through than read a guide, get in touch and we'll go through it with you. Worth doing if you're running something large or unusual. It's usually quicker than working it out alone. We'd rather help ensure your first event went well than field questions about it afterwards.
What should I include when I get in touch?
A detailed description of what you were doing and what went wrong is usually enough. A screenshot helps a lot. It saves a whole round of questions. If it's urgent because your event is imminent, say so at the top of the description and we'll pick it up first.
Can you help me move a guest list over from another platform?
Yes. Export your list as a CSV and upload it—you map your columns to the right fields and tickets generate from there. If the export is messy or the format is unusual, send it over and we'll tell you what needs changing, or sort it out with you.
